Conference and seminar videography is rarely glamorous or cinematic, but is an important service we offer as it serves as a recorded document of a live event. The University of Auckland’s Hack Aotearoa conference wanted to have each of the presentations available online for those whom were unable to be there in person.
We supplied a single videographer who operated a following midshot of the speaker and an unmanned extreme wideshot set up at the back of the room – along with the shot itself, it was also used as an editing reference when lining up powerpoint slides dropped into the edit.
In order to get the best audio, we received a line feed from the audio technician running the AV for the room which is a great option, and more cost effective than us supplying a dedicated sound recordist.
After the conference, we received powerpoint presentations from the client for each speaker, logos and graphics to include within each edit.
